I met Bonnie at a Memorial Day party last night with my son "who is 29" who she never met before and didn't even know who he was yesterday. when we were getting ready to leave, she kept saying his name many times and he was not in the room at the time. I told her that Jacob is my son and was best friends with the host of the party. When he came into the room, she started to talk about a female who we figured out was his great grandmother. The things she was saying had us freaking out. We had no idea the gift that Bonnie had. Then she started talking about a couple of people who I knew that has passed. She also brought up about something with my toe which I had stubbed pretty good that morning and nobody knew about that.   I have known Bonnie since kindergarten, and she has been in and out of my life over the years. Her request for me to like her page came at a time when my life has been a little (ok, a lot) chaotic. I have made no secret of the losses we've experienced in the last nine months, but I recently had a health scare of my own that probably wouldn't have worried me in the past. Considering the last two years, however, it was more than a little scary.

I believe that God puts people in our paths for a reason, and I fully believe that He put Bonnie in my path in that moment. Anyone who has seen my Facebook page has access to my blog, so the fact that I lost my husband and my mom within six months isn't a secret. But I didn't share the health scare with Bonnie at first. I simply asked if the chaos that has been my life would settle down.

She told me that I was stuck emotionally (true). She told me that I was going to face some obstacles of my own, some bumps along the way, that I will be working to figure out self-care (true), that I will have to seek guidance from someone knowledgeable, but that everything would be ok and I would get stable physically. What I found out a couple of days later is that I WILL have to meet with a surgeon but that everything is fine. So turned out to be true.

Bonnie also referenced things about Dennis and my mom that there's no way she could have known.
